Living in Streetsboro, Ohio

Streetsboro is my home base. My office is here in town, so I know these streets well, and I can tell you location is the big draw. Streetsboro sits at the crossroads of the Ohio Turnpike (Exit 187), I-480 and State Routes 14, 43 and 303. That makes getting toward Cleveland, Akron or points east very manageable. The city grew quickly after the Turnpike opened in 1955, and that growth brought a wide mix of homes, from established streets to newer subdivisions and properties with more land.

You'll find plenty of room to get outside. Streetsboro City Park on Kirby Lane covers 116 acres, with ball diamonds, multi-use fields, tennis and basketball courts, a skate park, a playground and a paved half-mile walking path. The city's Community Center, dedicated in 2024, is also in City Park. Off Route 303, Thomas Heritage Park offers 108 acres with a dog park, a fishing pond and deck, and walking paths. Wilcox Memorial Park and Beck Preserve add wooded, natural areas along tributaries of Tinkers Creek. Summit Metro Parks' Tinkers Creek Area of Liberty Park, with fishing and trails, also has a Streetsboro address.

Public schools are part of Streetsboro City Schools, with Streetsboro Elementary, Henry Defer Intermediate, Streetsboro Middle and Streetsboro High School (home of the Rockets).
